I am a photographer based in Ireland working with analogue cameras and traditional darkroom methods.

Having a background in drama theatre pushes me to look for a "mise en scène", where each element of the frame comes together to create something more meaningful than the sum of its parts.

Fascinated by the provocative photographs of Helmut Newton and the surreal visions of Tim Walker, I began to develop my own style by creating a synthesis between reality and symbolism through a conceptual narrative.

In my photographic approach, I try to reach the essential by removing, layer by layer, the veil of appearance and conventions from the subjects I portray, in order to capture not the image itself, but what passes through it: which, eventually, is a brief moment of truth.

At last, under the red light of my darkroom, I transform my artistic vision into black and white silver gelatin prints as the final stage of my creative process.
